Each course at BMS is designed to teach each student the BMS survival mindset, to size up their situation and develop a plan of action to face the situation at hand head on. Each course wheatear it is a basic course or an advanced course the student will learn and practice their skills. Students don’t need to have any prior camping or survival skills to attend BMS survival course. However we do recommend completing the basic course before advancing into the advanced courses.
We also offer courses specifically designed to teach students how to develop a Bug Out plan and a Bug Out Bag (BOB). This course teaches the student how to be very selective on their gear selection and how it is packed due to the nature of the situation.
Our land navigation course teaches the student how to use a compass, read a TOPO (Topographical Map), Learn pace counting and set your pace count. Each student will learn to use all three of these tools together. Learning navigation skills is one of the vital tools to becoming self-reliant.
Our advanced and extreme survival courses compile everything the student has learned in previous courses. It is designed to be the ultimate survival experience, the most challenging of conditions. Our advanced and extreme survival courses are a true and final test in becoming self-reliant.
